Bio
Hey, I’m Christine. I was born and raised in New Orleans, where my love for food, art, music, and culture was woven deep within me. My parents were very young and broke when I was growing up, but what they lacked in money they made up for in creativity. My house was always decorated with amazing treasures (like a large peculiar egg with a dragon’s leg breaking through the crack in the side), macramé curtains knotted by my mother, and mismatched secondhand furniture that set the stage for an adventurous life. As a kid, I spent weekends walking through the Flea Market in NOLA, taking long drives to old plantations, attending several rock concerts, and mom sanctioned school skipping any day that the weather was too pretty to stay in school.
Now I’m older, 44 to be exact, and I continue to seek out fresh creative experiences in life, food, art, décor, and new escapades for me and my sweet family. I have a husband that cheers on even my most far out ideas and he has helped me understand what God intended for marriage to be. Life isn’t always perfect, but it is good.
My newest adventure is this blog. It’s been on my list for over a decade and it was the one thing that scared me the most. Why? I have no idea. So here’s to a new beginning. I hope to share here the overload of information I have in my brain. I’ll share triumphs and failures and lessons learned as a wife, mother to teenagers, artist, designer, public speaker, event planner, actress, modeling coach, business woman, homeschooler, counselor, art teacher, theater director, pastor, plant lady, kombucha brewer, home chef, and whoever I am today. Hopefully, you might like something you read, learn a new thing, or just laugh because you think I’m crazy! But, no matter what, I’m happy you’re here! Enjoy!
